What is Rotary?

Rotary is an international organization of professional and business leaders united to provide humanitarian service and promote high ethical standards in all vocations worldwide. More than 1.2 million Rotarians in 160 countries belong to 30,000 clubs. Each Rotarian represents a cross-section of the local communities business and professional men and women. The clubs meet weekly throughout the world and are non political and open to all races, cultures, ethnicities, and creeds.

 

 

The main objective of Rotary is service. Local, Community, WorkPlace and International Service. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues. Clean water, children at risk , poverty, hunger, illiteracy, and violence. They support programs for youth, educational international exchanges, international scholarships and more. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.
